Maybe an MTS is right for you, a Material Transfer System

MTS – Material Transfer System

It’s Time To Bury Your Shovel!
FINN’s product line just got larger…and your work just got easier with the launch of the FINN MTS. A new product category for FINN, the MTS offers a proven labor savings over the old “shovel and sweat” method by:

  • Delivery and placement of soil, aggregate, bark mulch, compost, sod and a variety of other bulk materials without the back-breaking shoveling.
  • Integrated vacuum to remove leaves and debris.
  • Decrease manual labor.
  • Decrease job times.
  • Increase productivity and profits.
  • It’s time to bury your shovel!

How it works
The FINN MTS has a 15 cu. yd. trailer capable of hauling, storing and delivering bulk materials, from sand and aggregate to bark mulch and compost or virtually any pallatized material. A wide rear access area allows for quick loading and offloading of materials, while dual discharge conveyors enable loading of wheelbarrows from either side. A multi-purpose vacuum picks up a wide variety of materials, which are conveniently deposited into the enclosed trailer.

Dramatically Cut Job [ top ]

Times Loading wheel barrows and raking leaves take their toll on your workforce’s productivity and increase the time needed to complete jobs. Eliminate them with the FINN MTS.

Loading wheel barrows and raking leaves take their toll on your workforce’s productivity and increase the time needed to complete jobs. Eliminate them with the FINN MTS.

  • Fill a wheelbarrow in 4 seconds.
  • Single handedly move and place 5 cu. yds. of bark mulch, in less than 40 minutes, while your competition spends 3-4 hours for a similar job.
  • Dump 15 cu. yds. of material in 60 seconds.
  • Pick up leaves and yard debris at a rate much faster than manual labor.

Whatever the job, be it commercial or residential, you’ll find countless ways to utilize a FINN MTS. From removing leaves and grass clippings to filling wheelbarrows with soil, bark mulch or aggregate to unloading palleted materials, the FINN MTS is the most versatile transfer machine on the market. When you’re not using it for landscaping projects, it serves as a multi-purpose trailer to conveniently haul materials and store tools needed on the jobsite.

Easy Operation

A simple flip of the switch engages the side conveyors, transferring material out of the discharge door and into an awaiting wheelbarrow. What used to take several minutes and back-breaking labor – to fill wheelbarrows with a shovel – now takes only 4 seconds. The shovel is eliminated from the process.

3 Point Unloading

The dual reversible floor conveyor system provides 3 unloading points. The side conveyor delivers material out of the discharge doors located on either side of the machine – curbside or roadside – for increased flexibility and convience on any jobsite. The main floor conveyor allows materials to be simply dumped out of large rear door. The main conveyor also assists in loading materials, such as paver blocks, plants and trees, and palletized items.

Powerful Multi-Purpose Vacuum

Standard with the FINN MTS is a powerful multi-purpose vacuum that effectively cleans up grass clippings (wet or dry), as well as bark mulch and other jobsite debris. The long, stretchable intake hose enables operation in a large diameter area around the unit.

Tool Storage

Built right into the chassis of the trailer is a handy tool storage space. The space is designed to provide easy access to the common tools you need on the jobsite, such as rakes, push brooms, posthole diggers and pitch forks. Heavy-duty latches keep the storage door closed and tools secure during transport.

Low Operating Cost [ top ]

Since 1935 FINN has set the standard in contractor grade landscape equipment. From Bark Blowers to Straw Blowers to Hydroseeders, FINN machines are built with the quality components to keep productivity and profitability at their highest.

Compared to other products on the market, the FINN MTS is designed with features and components that prolong working life and reduce maintenance. FINN eliminated parts wherever it made sense, to ensure peak performance and cut out costly repairs. In addition, the MTS is constructed without belts or chains, so you’re free from the troubles associated with them.

Designed for Heavy Loads
Steel Chasis – With an empty weight of 6,800 pounds, the MTS is light enough to be towed by most 3/4-ton trucks, yet the robust steel trailer chassis provides a strong foundation to handle the heaviest loads.
Increased Material Capacities
Panel Construction – The aluminum panel and steel post construction provide durability for demanding jobsite environments in a lightweight design, which minimizes impact on payload capacity.
Maximize Material Flow
Sloped Design – The unique sloped design on the front panel helps maximize material flow, providing continuous feed to the reversible floor conveyors and, in turn, to the jobsite. This design eliminates the need for an auger, as found on competitive systems, meaning less parts to maintain and service.
Eliminate Belts and Chains
Hydraulics – Electronically controlled hydraulics eliminate the need for troublesome chains and belts and help ensure peak performance, while reducing noise and maintenance. Also, the system is driven by only two hydraulic motors, further saving on maintenance and service concerns.
Improve Fuel Economy
Engine – A single 25-horsepower Kohler Command Pro gasoline engine powers both the vacuum and material transfer conveyor system translating to fewer moving parts and less maintenance concerns. And, the efficient operation provided by a single engine significantly improves fuel economy.
It may surprise some folks the equipment needed to manage erosion control, because if the soil moves so does that turf. These is just a start, more to turf coming to Thursday’s
