November Equipment Highlight

Once again the calendar has turned and we find ourselves at November. This month The AGTV Network looks at a section of the agriculture that may surprise readers of this blog. The highlight is on the floral and turf portions of agriculture. The floral industry is more than just your local florist and the turf industry covers more than your lawn.

Floriculture is the official name for that section of the agriculture industry, this link to Wikipedia goes into more detail, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floriculture.

When talking about the floral industry usually the talk starts at the greenhouse. These come in all shapes and sizes, from a small version for your backyard (more later on the turf portion) to commercial versions.

We start with a backyard version. Plan for this type can be found on the internet and supplies at your local hardware and lumber yard.

Lets say your greenhouse is than a hobby so you may want to step your “game” to this level.

When the hobby turns serious and growing and cultivating flowers is more intense and you are looking for an “addition” to your home then…

Granted greenhouses at level require serious work.

But what if a greenhouse is a business asset for you. Then commercial units like this should do the job.

You have probably seen these on your trips to that local home center.

One advantage of larger greenhouses like these is space.

Space to setup table, planter boxes and storage of numerous items used in the industry.

Once the greenhouse is physically setup you still need to get the inside the way you want it.
